Having stayed here twice so far, Sterrenberg is a modern small hotel in the village of Otterloo. You should go there for the quiet surrounding and attentive staff, not for some small town festivities (they are none). Otterloo is situated next to National Park Hoge Veluwe, which is the main National Park of the Netherlands. Their rooms are small in my standard, but may be perfect for others. The chef prepares seasonal menu’s with pure ingredients. If you are looking for a romantic hotel, modern chic but with a cozy fireplace this is definitely a place to visit. During my stay I always choose their tapas plate. Check it out with me: black olives, tomato with cheese cookie, fish cookie,smoked beef, chicken wings, serrano with pickles, sundried tomato, siew mai, artisjok, union rings, salami and last but not least: anchovy. Great with a good pomerol (or a beer if you prefer).
